We are a young and dynamic Faculty
The faculty was established on January 1, 2008. A significant part of the staff are young people, combining experiences from leading Polish universities, very involved in the didactic process, constantly striving for their own didactic and scientific development.
We are part of the University with a 200-year tradition
The Warsaw University of Life Sciences is the oldest natural science university in Poland. In 2016, the University celebrates its 200th anniversary of education. Thanks to this, we use extensive didactic and organizational experience.
SGGW is also one of the largest Polish universities. This is best expressed by the following numbers:
- 27,000 students
- 1,200 lecturers
- 37 fields of study
- 13 faculties
In 2015, the Warsaw University of Life Sciences was included in the top 100 of the world’s best universities in the field of agriculture and forestry. QS World University Rankings of the TopUniversities.com website was the fifth edition of the ranking, which, in addition to analyzing approximately 17.3 million research papers, also collected the opinions of over 85,000 scientists and 41,000. employers. The list includes as many as 36 different scientific disciplines and, as its authors emphasize, it is the largest list of this type in the world.
We are positively assessed by the Polish Accreditation Committee
On January 25, 2018, the Commission awarded the field of studies Computer Science a positive grade.
On October 17, 2013, the Commission awarded the field of studies Computer Science and Econometrics a positive grade.
Positive evaluations resulted from fulfilling “fully” all the considered evaluation criteria.
We teach in a modern way using e-learning tools
We develop multimedia studios
From the 2016/17 academic year, we teach in two newly equipped specialist laboratories: an image processing analysis studio equipped with 20 computers and specialized cameras, and an audio studio equipped with specialized equipment for comprehensive sound analysis.
We teach in well-equipped computer labs
We teach in 15 computer laboratories equipped with 300 computers with the following parameters:
- Intel Core i5-3570 (Quad-Core),
- 8 GB RAM memory,
- Windows 7 / Linux.
Graduates of our Faculty can easily find a job
We work with companies from the IT and financial industries
In the 2015/16 academic year, our students will be able to attend faculties conducted by specialists:
Passus sp. z o. o. (supplier of highly specialized IT and telecommunications solutions),
Internal Security Agency,
COMP SA (a technology company specializing in IT security solutions, network security and solutions dedicated to the trade and services market.),
Billenium (the company’s domains are Outsourcing, Billing systems, Business Process Management solutions, CRM and Business Intelligence systems).
In the 2014/15 academic year, our students could attend faculties conducted by specialists from:

- Asseco Poland SA,
- Passus sp. z o.o.

Despite our young age, we have significant scientific achievements
In 2017, the Scientific Unit Evaluation Committee awarded our Faculty with the scientific category B.
In 2013, the Scientific Unit Evaluation Committee awarded our Faculty with the scientific category A.
Dean of the Faculty, dr hab. Inż. Michał Kruk, is the winner of the prestigious Polityka Passport award in 2015.
